Clemens, Sheila |
St. Joseph, Lillian, AL | Pat and I will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in April of 2007! We are blessed with seven healthy children - one daughter and six sons. And now we have 10 grandchildren - six girls and four boys. In 1974 we opened our printing business in Arlington Heihts, Illinois and named it Mark Twain Press. I signed all checks as S. Clemens, Proprietor (just like Mark Twain aka Samuel Langhorn Clemens). I was given the titles of owner, pressman, accountant, bindery help, counter help, etc. After two years in business, Pat was able to resign his position as an etcher for a large printing firm in Chicago and work full-time at the family business. Due to Pat's illness in 1990, we had to sell our home and business and move to Wisconsin. At that time I worked for Moore Business Products located in a northern suburb of Chicago. I drove 63 miles each way to work every day. When we relocated to Lillian, Alabama, I worked at an aircraft repair plant in Fairhope. Due to moving all aircraft repairs out of state, I was unemployed for a few months. During my unemployment I attended school in Pensacola and became a certified Medical Transcriptionist. I was forutnate to find employment in Chicago at Northwestern Memorial Hospital as private secretary to the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology. It was a great position, but it was difficult commuting every 3 or 4 weeks back to Alabama. In July 1999, I accepted a secretarial position with the Escambia County School District. I retired from the District on August 31, 2006 and am now trying to get caught up with things I let slide while I was working. Close |

St. Dominic |
Roger and I have been members of St. Dominic Church in Panama City for approximately six years. Over our thirty-two years together we have enjoyed many parishes and Military Chapel communities all over the world. We were married, and our son was baptized at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Miami, FL. Our daughter was baptized at the National Navy Medical Center Chapel in Bethesda, MD. They both received their First Holy Communion at St. Catherine's in Orange Park, FL, and their Confirmation at St. Peter & Paul in Winter Park, FL. Our son, Brian, now resides in Panama City Beach and our daughter is in Los Angeles, CA. As a military dependent child I belonged to numerous parishes. This truly gives me a different perspective on what Church community is all about. Roger and I enjoy the closeness we feel at St. Dominic's, where I regularly volunteer, doing anything from working in the Church Office on Friday's, to participating along side of Roger as a Lay Eucharistic Minister and Focus Facilitator. It is my hope to continue to grow in Ministry as I support my husband down the road of the Diaconate Program.

Gordon, Lori |
St. Anne Bellview | Tom and I arrived in Pensacola due to a military transfer from Cape Cod, MA in 1997. We are members of St. Anne’s Parish, Belleview, and now call Pensacola home. We serve as Eucharistic Ministers, participate in visitation to the sick and homebound of our parish, and work with two other couples in providing the FOCCUS inventory to those preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage. I also provide instruction in both RCIA and Preparation for Baptism during which I routinely observe and then provide valuable criticism. We find the Diaconate Program inspirational and challenging. |

Krehely, Martha |
St. Anne Bellview | I'm Martha Krehely, we are members of St. Anne's in Bellview. Don and I both are extremely active in our Church life. I am so proud to be an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist, and serve as coordinator of the Ministry doing the scheduling and training. This is very meaningful to me. I also am a member of our Altar Society, manage the gift shop (Grannie Annie's), and chair the annual Arts and Craft Show, a large fund raiser for St. Anne's. Now that we are having our Wednesday night dinners, I volunteer 2 days setting up, working in the kitchen and serving. We are members of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem and are training to become facilitators for FOCCUS. There is nothing more meaningful in life as serving our church in as many ways as possible. Now I find that Don's participation in the Diaconate Formation Program adds a great deal more to our lives, and I feel blessed to be a part of this process and continue to grow in our faith. |

Krueger, Nanette |
Holy Spirit |
My name is Nanette Krueger. I was born in Davao City, Philippines. Lloyd and I were married in Davao in 1959. We have three children who are the pride of our lives along with our two grandsons. Over the years I have served the church in various ministries which have led me closer to our Lord. I am most proud of my work with “Ministry to the Homebound” which I started in our parish in Yucca Valley, California. Another area that has been very rewarding is my work in marriage renewal masses and receptions. Currently I serve as a Greeter, Special Minister of Holy Communion and am a member of the Welcoming Committee at Holy Spirit. I look forward to the years ahead as I accompany Lloyd on his formation journey. |

McClure, Karen |
St. Thomas More, Pensacola | My name is Karen McClure and we belong to St. Thomas More Parish in Pensacola. Our roots run deep in this little parish as this is where I met my husband when I was 15 and had just joined the choir. We were married here, had our child baptized here, and at present I help with various ministries. As the Cantor of two Masses I get to meet many parishioners and I enjoy greeting any newcomers and welcoming them. I am also happy to help my husband with his ministries and we simply enjoy doing anything we can to help our Parish. This new journey (to the Diaconate) only enriches that which we already enjoyed. |

Christ Our Redeemer |
Miguel and I have been parishioners at Christ Our Redeemer in Niceville for over six years, settling into our home after many years of living around the world through military assignments. We have two children in college, Theresa and Joseph. I work as an office manager in a mental health practice. I am an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and am honored to also be able to take the Eucharist to those of our parish who live in a nursing home. This year I am teaching high school religious education with a wonderful team of adults and enjoy the opportunity to be with the awesome kids of our parish. Through Miguel's participation in deacon formation we have come to know so many good people in our diocese and have gained knowledge, faith and blessings through the process. Close |
